“JOINING THE CLUB”  A comedy by David Tristram
Directed by: Christine Linning
SYNOPSIS: Jenny find out she is pregnant on the same day as Tom get fired from his Job. Jenny stays home with baby, whist Tom has job he hates.

JIGSAW PLAYERS Open - A - O
“A LIVE JACK IN THE DITCH”  A Comedy   by Eva Angus
Directed by: Eva Angus
SYNOPSIS: “The year is 2009. It is the November meeting of the Bullock Creek Ladies Bowling Club. As the meeting unfolds it becomes apparent that, not only are they being blackmailed for selling stolen goods to the unsuspecting public but they have no money left because the treasurer had managed to gamble most of it away. Pandemonium ensues when it is reveal just who the blackmailer is.

GOLD COAST LITTLE THEATRE  Open - A - O
“LOOK INTO MY EYES”  A Comedy   by Jean Watson
Directed by: Jean Watson
SYNOPSIS: ‘Hypno’ the world famous hypnotist demonstrates his powers of suggestion. He has a hidden agenda to try to improve the characters he hypnotizes. He also likes to have a bit of innocent fun with his subjects and we see some hilarious results of his efforts.

“LIVING WITH LADY MACBETH” A Comedy by Rob John
Directed by Stacey Muller
SYNOPSIS: Living with Lady Macbeth follows one girl’s quest to play the role of Lady Macbeth in the school play. Unfortunately for Lily, she is thought to be, by those around her, dull unattractive, untalented and totally ordinary. The play flies back and forth in time presenting Lily’s dreams and fantasies as she sets about proving everybody wrong.

“FARFIE”  A drama by Kahli Williams
Directed by: Jim Orr
SYNOPSIS: How do you say goodbye when you don’t want to? This is the dilemma faced by everyone who has lost someone they love.

MORETON BY COLLEGE  Youth - A
“WOLF LULLABY”  A Drama  by Hilary Bell
Directed by: Kelly Redhead-Adelt
SYNOPSIS: “Wolf Lullaby” is about the disturbing subject of children as murderers. In a remote Australian town, a small child is murdered. Suspicion falls on nine-year old Lizzie. Angela, Lizzie’s young Mum is convinced her daughter is guilty. She must make the torturous choice between ignoring what her intuition tells her, and presenting Lizzie to the police.

SYNOPSIS: When Glenys Cartwright confesses a crime to her sister, she is shocked by her reaction and looks for a way out of the predicament.

‘Magic” A Comedy  by Olivia Warren
Directed by: Olivia Warren
SYNOPSIS: A group of friends obsessed with the wonderful world of “Harry Potter” are insulted by an ex-member of their group. This leads to a series of complications, funny accidents, and down-right ridiculous events, all in the space of a couple of school days.

“LIFE SUPPORT” A drama  by Suzanne Blackwood
Directed by: Eileen Walder
SYNOPSIS: Robert Taylor is in control of his life, and everyone else’s, until confronted by a situation where three women control him – each in their own way.

PROMPT PRODUCTIONS  Open – O
‘WILDE LIFE” A Comedy devised by cast from the works of Oscar Wilde.
Directed by: Anne Grant
SYNOPSIS; “Wilde Life” – A study of a species in an “unnatural” habitat. An ornithological guide to selection, mating and breeding within the Victorian Upper Class.

“When God Comes for Breakfast you don’t burn the Toast” A Comedy  by Gary Apple
Directed by: Steven Pimm
SYNOPSIS: What do you do when ‘The Almighty” drops over for breakfast? What do you give ‘God” for food and what do you talk about? It’s all happening in the Katzman House.

BYDE [BRISBANE YOUTH DRAMA ENSEMBLE] Youth – A - O
“THE TAVERN OF CORAL COVE” A Comedy by Adrian Ferguson
Directed by: Kathy Kunde
SYNOPSIS; The Cully Tavern is reluctantly run by three siblings. With the help of a psychic, a chef and others, they struggle to find their mother’s Will. Will they find their mother’s will or will Chuck McChuckies and his side kick succeed in their evil plans?

BRISBANE ARTS THEATRE Open
“QUEEN VS DUDLEY AND STEPHENS” A Drama by John Mawson and Rob Smith
Directed by: Jo Pierce
SYNOPSIS: Three men stranded in a Lifeboat after their trawler has sunk three weeks previously. The Captain Sid has not been prepared which has left them with no food, little waste and very little hope of being rescued. What will be the outcome?

“SORRY”  A Drama  by G. D. Farmer
Directed by: Veronica Witham
SYNOPSIS: Matt is a successful 25 yr old businessman. Fiona a 20 yr old who works at her local school. They have been dating for six months and are very much in love but Matt’s world is about to be turned upside down by his precious lady. Maybe Fiona isn’t Fiona after all.
 
AUSTRALIAN COMMUNITY THEATRE GROUP  Open A
“GOLF, MARRIAGE AND OTHER MURDEROUS MATTERS”  A Comedy   by Debra Kathleen Chalmers
Directed by: Dale Murison
SYNOPSIS: When Jenny is pushed a little too far, she snaps. She soon discovers that murder might be relatively easy and disposing of the body challenging, explaining to friends is practically impossible.

“SEEDS”  A Black Comedy by Michelle Pettigrove
Directed by: Jo Pierce
SYNOPSIS: “Seeds” is a play that explains the different types of women who choose IVF to have a child of their own. It also describes the long drawn out pain of trying to have a child and what they go through.

EXCALIBUR THEATRE COMPANY Open – A - O

SYNOPSIS: “For some, contrition is the last outpost on the road to redemption’. Open a broken window on a shattered life and you will find the remnants of James – tired tormented and the pieces of a man he once was.
